FlipBase LLC ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") operates the FlipBase platform. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our service.

- Account information: name, email address, and password when you create an account through our authentication provider (Clerk)
- Deal data: property addresses, financial figures, contact information for contractors, lenders, agents, and other parties you enter into the platform
- Documents and media: files, photos, and videos you upload to the platform
- Communications: messages sent through the contractor portal
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the platform
- Device information: browser type, operating system, and screen resolution
- Cookies: authentication cookies managed by Clerk to maintain your session (see our Cookie Policy for details)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the FlipBase platform
- Authenticate your identity and manage your account
- Process and store your deal data, documents, and media
- Send you important service notifications
- Respond to your support requests
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate FlipBase. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data:
- Clerk -- authentication and user management
- Neon (PostgreSQL) -- database hosting for your deal data
- Cloudflare R2 -- file and media storage
- RealtyAPI / Zillow -- property data lookups (when you use the search feature)
- Vercel -- application hosting
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS/SSL), secure database access, and access controls. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or operational purposes. Anonymized or aggregated data may be retained indefinitely.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
